Welcome to UrbanElle.Com!  Thank you for taking the time to visit!  When I began the journey of creating this site I envisioned a place for lesbians to connect with one another without it necessarily being about dating or sex.  I was especially searching for a place where I could interact with lesbian women on all levels. A website that was a warm and intimate place for us to share our thoughts. To my surprise I found very few resources, the sites I did find were very specific i.e. places to party, places for poets. Living abroad and in San Francisco Bay Area for a large portion of my life one thing I have learned is that lesbians, especially lesbians of color are not one dimensional.  We are artists, party chicks, wives, mothers, and working women.  My goal in creating UrbanElle.com was to provide a space for all of these women in one place.

I wanted a space that poets can speak their truth, those party girls can find out what's crackin' no matter where their at or going, and perhaps lesbian couples can read an article on the latest insemination techniques.

While most sites deal with a specific part of lesbian life my goal is to showcase our entire journey. From the places we hang out to the very real health issues that face us as women. Please take the time and check all we have to offer you. We are trying to provide you with great useful information.
